A note from Alain

I have always been obsessed with the 'Saddle Shoulder' construction found on vintage military knitwear—it gives a stature that modern cuts simply can't match. However, those old pieces were famously uncomfortable. With ROSA PARKS, my personal challenge was to recapture that heroic, squared-off silhouette using our ultra-soft Cashwool. I remember the relief when we finally cracked the tension settings to make the shoulder line sit perfectly flat and sharp. Today, this is the jumper I grab blindly in the morning when I need to feel 'ready'. It acts like armor, just infinitely more comfortable.

To give your jumper a good and long life please follow these simple guidelines:
  • No need to dry clean. Prefer hand wash or low temperature machine washing.
  • Machine wash up to 30 degrees using a delicate or wool adapted detergent. Do not bleach, soak or rub. Wash similar colors together. Low machine spinning or roll in a towel (for ultimate durability). Unfold the collar prior to washing the jumper.
  • Dry flat, including body, collar and sleeves. Unfold the collar. Dot not tumble dry ever !
  • No ironing needed. If you really want to, set the iron on the Wool, Medium or 2-dot heat setting. Use little to no steam. Do not press to avoid the jumper becoming shiny.

Easy like wool, soft like cashmere

ROSA PARKS is far more than a standard crewneck.

ROSA PARKS is engineered with a signature saddle shoulder to give you instant structure and presence. The solid foundation of a modern wardrobe.

Sharp, robust, yet incredibly soft, it bridges the gap between relaxed comfort and effortless elegance. Your daily soft armor.

Bold colors make for a lively Winter

Each hue is meticulously developed and handpicked by us in collaboration with our Italian yarn maker exclusively for GOSSUIN. Moving beyond the essential Navy and timeless Loden Green, this season’s palette reflects our dedication to crafting bold yet versatile shades.

From the spirited warmth of Burnt Orange to rich Caramel and sleek Graphite, every tone has been thoughtfully chosen to bring energy and character to your wardrobe. These are not just colors but a reflection of our commitment to making winterwear vibrant, personal, and enduring.

Soft on your skin

A lasting jumper starts with quality materials. We chose an extra-fine (19.5 microns) 100% Merino wool sourced in Australia.

The yarn is spun and dyed by Zegna Baruffa in their own workshops located in Borgosesia, Italy.

The wool is soft and non-itchy. Like some of our models on the shoot, you can wear it straight on your skin if you want to.

The best of both worlds

Selected for its legendary status, cashwool rivals the exquisite softness of cashmere while offering a distinct functional advantage.

Unlike traditional cashmere which can sometimes overheat, this extra fine Merino wool is naturally thermoregulating and breathable. It actively adapts to your environment by providing substantial warmth in the cold while remaining comfortably cool once you step indoors.

Totally easy care

The proprietary SWE treatment applied to this yarn guarantees Total Easy Care functionality. This ensures the garment is safe for machine washing while maintaining its shape and soft handle.

A key advantage of this smooth finish is that it greatly minimizes pilling to preserve the clean architectural lines of the silhouette.

Structured silhouette with epaulet Shoulder

The Epaulet shoulder in ROSA PARKS 01 isn't just a design choice, it’s a structural statement. By isolating the shoulder line with a dedicated yoke panel, it creates a sharper, more defined architecture than a standard raglan.

This deliberate construction not only adds a distinct military-inspired detail but also accentuates the wearer's natural width. It visually squares off the frame, lending an appearance of broader shoulders and a more commanding, confident silhouette.

Scalloped wrist

The wrist is scalloped just where the thumb sits to make sure the wrist position itself at the right place.

It is our signature and will look just right with a GOSSUIN shirt.

Square armscye Engineered for Movement

The armscye forms a square rather than the classic ellipsis. This way of binding the sleeves to the body is often seen in sports and military sweaters, allowing a higher freedom of movement.

Flat knitted in Bulgaria

Our commitment to quality is grounded in a 100% European supply chain from the Italian yarn to the final finish.

The jumper is crafted in Sofia, Bulgaria, where we employ fully fashioned knitting to shape every panel precisely and minimize waste.

The pieces are joined via artisanal re-meshing which avoids standard stitching for a refined and durable finish. This guarantees a garment that is ethically produced and built to last.

Traceability

We fight for people to own less but better garments.

To guide you on that path, we promise to clearly tell you what we know and what we don't at every step of garment making process.

Environmental impact

Let's be clear, manufacturing new garments will always impact the environment.

That said, by measuring it, we can identify how to gradually reduce it on every new creation.

This is the impact of producing one ROSA PARKS 01 crewneck.

Named for Quiet Strength

We named this piece ROSA PARKS to honor a legacy of quiet, unshakeable strength. This jumper is designed to embody that same sense of dignity and stature. While GASTON wraps you up, ROSA PARKS is engineered to make you stand taller. The signature "Saddle Shoulder"—a robust, squared-off construction—provides a physical structure that enhances your silhouette, offering a posture of confidence and resilience that defines the very soul of this garment.

Resilience by Design

True to its namesake, this jumper is built to endure. We moved away from standard cuts to engineer a piece that holds its ground against the elements and the years. Crafted from 800g of dense Cashwool, it offers a "heavyweight" resilience that refuses to lose its shape. We combined this structural integrity with our Total Easy Care treatment, ensuring that this strength is matched by modern adaptability. It is a garment that remains pristine, wash after wash, season after season.

A Palette of Character

Our ambition to invigorate the winter spectrum remains unwavering. Moving beyond the essential Navy and timeless Loden Green, we have curated a palette of bold, architectural earth tones that speak with distinct character.

Imagine the spirited warmth of Burnt Orange—a confident hue that wakes up a winter coat. Wrap yourself in the rich, golden luxury of Camel or the sleek, industrial precision of Graphite. These are not just colors; they are statements of intent, designed to turn a daily staple into an expression of personal style.

Your Daily Armor

Wear ROSA PARKS knowing it is a product of conviction. It bridges the gap between the relaxed comfort of a sweatshirt and the sharp lines of a tailored piece. It is your daily soft armor—built with the structural integrity to protect, and the softness to comfort.

Wear with pride. Wear with confidence. Wear without moderation.

It took many people to bring ROSA PARKS 01 to the world. This section is dedicated to them.
