A note from Alain

I designed this t-shirt to be equally great as a light standalone piece or and undergarment underneath a jumper or a shirt. The shape of the collar looks especially beautiful in a vest or under a shirt. This is my new go-to undergarment. I particularly enjoy the long sleeves come Winter time and the comforting and soft brushed material inside.

To give your T-shirt a good and long life please follow these simple guidelines:
  • Avoid dry cleaning or tumble drying.
  • Prefer machine wash at 40°C. Go up to 60°C (white only) if absolutely necessary. No bleach, please. Wash similar colours together.
  • Prefer natural drying (on a hanger). It will preserve fibres and ensure your garment lasts longer.
  • Medium iron, medium to little steam. Choose cotton program if you have one.

A comfy gentle cloud

ZOWIE 02 LS isn’t just another long-sleeve tee.

Its distinctive collar gives the piece a quiet character, a line that feels both effortless and assured. The fabric envelops you with a gentle, brushed softness — a comforting weight you notice the moment you slip it on.

Thoughtfully versatile, it layers with ease and stands beautifully on its own.

Let every look start with ZOWIE 02 LS.

Elementary colors

As always, we carefully crafted three essential colors for every man's wardrobe.

Alain's expert eye chose original shades to elevate any outfit some of which match the colors from our GASTON 03 collection. They work perfectly as a twin set or contrasting layers.

A distinctive collar

Design is the very foundation of everything we do at GOSSUIN. We are always on the lookout for original shapes that are also functional.

The collar of this T-shirt is no different. It was specially developed to look great underneath a shirt or overshirt but also as a standalone piece. More than 2 years of work and a dozen prototypes have been necessary to fine-tune it.

It is distinctive yet effortless to wear. It will readily be incorporated into any outfit while adding a slight touch of singularity.

The right balance

When it comes to long-sleeve tees, weight matters — yet it’s often misunderstood. Too light, and the fabric clings, twists, and loses shape. Too heavy, and it turns stiff and warm, drifting into sweatshirt territory.

At 270 g/m², this piece strikes the balance men consistently look for:
a tee with presence — clean drape, no cling, and a structure that stays sharp wear after wear.

The inside is gently brushed, giving it that immediate, comforting softness on the skin. Warm enough for cooler days, yet still naturally breathable when temperatures rise.

The result is a fabric with a silky, refined hand — dense, robust, and made to endure.

Italian shoulder for a lean silhouette

We chose an Italian shoulder that starts on the collar and finishes at the back of it.

This technique usually helps make the silhouette leaner as no seam is visible from the front to create separation. The shoulders look nice and clean.

Made to last in Portugal

The t-shirt is carefully sewn together in Portugal with double stitching on the outside seams and single stitching on the collar.

Jersey bands, a.k.a. neck tape, have been added on the shoulders and the back of the collar to strengthen the seams further and ensure the t-shirt lasts longer.

Our workshop has conducted extensive tests to ensure seams do not twist and this t-shirt does not shrink.

We’ve done our part, the rest simply depends on you.

Traceability

We fight for people to own less but better garments.

To guide you on that path, we promise to clearly tell you what we know and what we don't at every step of garment making process.

Environmental impact

Let's be clear, manufacturing new garments will always impact the environment.

That said, by measuring it, we can identify how to gradually reduce it on every new creation.

This is the impact of producing one ZOWIE 02 LS t-shirt.

  • 35 mj

Redefining the everyday essential

As we embarked on the creation of this unique piece, we were haunted by a singular question: Why add yet another round-neck T-shirt to a world already teeming with them? Could we break free from the mundane and yet stay rooted in the foundation of any stylish outfit?

An idea sparked: a fusion of shapes, marrying the circle and rectangle. A hybrid form that could be the perfect centerpiece for a t-shirt equally stunning as an underlayer or a standalone statement.

While the concept sounded straightforward, its execution was anything but. Striking the ideal balance was a complex dance – a challenge that kept us engaged for over two years and more than a dozen prototypes.

The result? A piece daring to reimagine the classic T-shirt, while honoring its versatile roots.

A daring piece needed a bold name. ZOWIE came instantly to mind, an homage to the name the legend Bowie - constantly questioning the norm - gave his son.

Nothing like twins

When we decided to create a long-sleeve version of ZOWIE, the idea of twin sets came naturally. GASTON was already fully developed, and pairing the two felt obvious — a way to build subtle, intentional combinations across textures and silhouettes.

It also echoed Alain’s own habit of wearing long sleeves under his turtlenecks, matching or contrasting tones to create quiet layers of colour. So we leaned into it.

For this first edition, we chose colours that make twin sets effortless: timeless classics for refined pairings, and more daring shades for those who enjoy a bolder contrast. Shades that work beautifully alone — and even better together.

Wear responsibly.

It took many people to bring ZOWIE 02 to the world. This section is dedicated to them.
